I took up photography as a young child. I was in 5th grade and I was earning money on a newspaper route. I remember going to a local mall with my family and seeing a developing kit for sale at a camera store. I saved my money and purchased it a few months later. Taking it home I read the instructions and I started shooting and developing my own photographs in a temporary darkroom I created in my Dad's workshop.
Fast forward to today, and there is no more film, no more darkroom, everything is digital now. But the fun and the creativity of those first days is still alive as the darkroom has been moved from my Dad's workshop to my computer as a digital darkroom.
No two trips to Yosemite, or no two wedding's ever look the same, as I think our imagination and creativity is unlimited. Each and every time I pick up one of my camera's I am thinking about how I can make that specific photograph unique.
